You know that moment in "Think of Me" when Madame Giry fixes Meg's hair as they're watching Christine sing? Do you like that moment or not? Most people I know like it, because they think it looks sweet and motherly, but somehow, for some unknown reason, it always hit me wrong. It always seemed more like she was inwardly annoyed with Meg for not being a big star like Christine. I don't think that's what was intended, but I was just curious what you guys thought of the scene.

I can see both sides of this discussion. I agree with phantomgirl110 about Madame Giry possibly being annoyed that Meg wasnt that star Christine was. If it wasnt for the blissful look on Meg's face I would be one-sided. Of course Madame Giry wants her daughter to be a star but I think shes content none the less. Overall I like it. It was genuine and motherly. If Meg couldnt be the star, at least her hair would be in place.

Well, if you've read the book, then you already know that Erik had promised Madame Giry to make Marguerite an Empress. Maybe Madame Giry felt Erik had forgotten about Marguerite, and she was only thinking how it wasn't fair. But judging by Meg's expression, she doesn't know about the promise, and is happy for her friend. That's my take anyway.
