Jules (who is not here yet, grr) started this thread back on the old, crappy board, and I think it's a good idea. What are some songs that you think represent the E/M ship? I personally think "Anytime" by Kelly Clarkson is a possibilty. Especially the lines "I could be the one to show you/Everything you missed before/Just hold on now/Cause I could be the one to give you more". Sounds like something Meg could say to Erik, doesn't it? "I Know How the River Feels" works too. (I don't know who it was by originally, I've only heard it sung by Clay Aiken--he recorded it as a demo years ago.) Wonderful lyrics, although I don't think the style of the song goes with E/M somehow...it sounds kinda country, at least when sung by Clay.

Ooh, that one really works! I've never heard that song, but the lyrics are great! And it also reminded me of "Maybe This Time" from Cabaret. If it wasn't sung from the perspective of a woman, it would be a good representation of Erik's thoughts on Meg.

That is so perfect...I gotta go over all the music I have to find more..usually the perfect ones are the ones where Erik has lost love and now has a second chance..that is how I feel the pairing would have taken place.

Same here. And I really like the lyrics to that song you posted because I think Erik would be afraid to try it all again.

Oh yeah, I think those can definitely pertain to E/M.

Geez, there are so many songs that fit the E/M pairing, I had no idea!
Hehe, "Merik" is cute. I've never heard that phrase used before.

Alright this one might seem a bit more adult...but here you go Click here! One of the many stanzas there that really made me think of them was You've opened my Soul to happiness And shown me New ways of love But there is another one too near the end Admin edit: fixed the link because it was stretching the board. Just so you know.

Yeah, I was kinda playing around with name combo's and Merik just seemed like it might work, I hav no idea if someone else has used it or not, I haven't seen it around.
You've taught me Love laugh You've taught me to live
Those lyrics really work for them Opera Angel, she could teach him so much.
