I was in a high school production of South Pacific, and I've been a few plain old plays, but that's all I can brag about, haha. Does anyone here do any acting/singing/dancing/whatever, or are you just a good audience member? I definitely want to do more performing in the future, but I need to get a lot better first...

Oh, a friend of mine is in Joseph right now! I was going to audition for it too, but I just kinda...didn't. Planned on it, forgot about it until the auditions were like the next day, so I just said oh well. I bet that was soooo much fun, the music is just so...fun! lol

Well, when I was in elementary there were so many "talent shows" and stuff and I was in them... but they didn't require any skills or anything, you just stood there like everyone else and nothing more. ...I was also in Drama Club and in the Church Choir, but I left them when I had to change schools... don't know if on my new school there will be a Drama Club or Church Choir, though... I've been taking bel canto lessons for various months and I hope to continue and make it one day to stage....

In college my brother was in the plays Romeo and Juliet as a 3rd watchman and the crucible as Ezekiel Cheever. My family went and was both of them ...even though his parts weren't very large I enjoyed them and he think he enjoyed acting just wish he continued on that path

if my high school did any good shows I would definately audition. but since we're so close to the city (manhattan, nyc for those who arent from NY) we cant get the rights to any broadway shows because we'd be considered "competition" because we're less than 50 miles from the city

I was in a play three years ago in 7th grade, called E.R.R. that takes place in a hospital and has a phantom causing chaous in the hospital (and to think i didn't even know about phantom of the opera at the time). Everytime he showed up they would play the overture from the Broadway version. I never understood it until I was introduce to POTO. Anyways... I played a minor role named Mrs. BigBill who complained about everything and who was always getting knocked over by someone. It was so much fun, though it hurts when u have to fall on crutches. Everyone said my role was one of the funniest (not trying to brag). Now I want to continue on acting and hopefully make it onto the big screen or just doing acting for fun.

Cooleroonie, go you! Comedic parts are always great (to watch and to play). Since you want to go on with performing, have you done any acting since then?

Sadly no, I wanted to do drama this year, but I had to take spanish and a college prep class as my electives. Hopefully next year I will be able to or I might take a summer program.

I suppose this is a bit of a reviving of this thread and this is very random, but I just wanted to mention that one of my best friends just got a chorus part in a local theater production of Little Shop of Horrors! I'm so happy for him! He's so amazing! I think he has the best voice. I auditioned but I'm, once again, on stage crew! But in my opinion... STAGE CREW is so much FUN! (sorry! I'm not trying to brag, I just had to say something about it cause I'm so excited!)

Hurrah for STAGE CREW! I LOVE being stage crew. It's awesome to get to watch the show from backstage and help out with stuff. And hurrah for Little Shop and your friend being in it, too!
