Rent

Now dont get me wrong, I love Rent, but I couldnt be more glad that it's closing in September. As with Phantom, after the movie came out, all of a sudden people became fans, and that really annoys me. All this talk about Rent this and Rent that started getting on my nerves a long time ago, but I'm only finally admitting it now because I'm happy they'll be taking their final bows soon.

What does everyone else think about Rent? Love it? Hate it? Dont care?

I absolutely Rent, but I agree about the fandom. I'm sad I won't get to see it on Broadway before it closes, but the fan situation has gotten worse and worse and the show has been resorting to stunt casting for a long time now. At this point, I almost feel like they need to close it for its own good.

It's had a good run but I think if the shows continue its popularity will slowly but surely decline.
