And in answer to the question before, about Erik and the toilet seat, most probably. It would be unseemly not to!! (movie Erik, probably not, he's more butch in that one) And...WHY do I put this much thought into it? Who knows.

I'm not sure why, but I think Erik would hate Memory from Cats. Thoughts?

Sure. I think he might dislike it. I think Erik might generally dislike a lot of Broadway, believe it or not. Strange as it sounds, some of the songs (a lot of the songs) from B-Way productions are so character oriented that the singers have to have a certain sort of voice to the point where it may sound harsh to Erik's ears. Not saying Memory is like that, just like Avenue Q and stuff... [/rant] I think Erik would put the seat down because he's a gentleman minus the torture and extortion.  End of story. And a new annoying song: Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer. |

And phantomphreak4life, I agree with you that he wouldn't like "Memory". In fact, I don't think he'd like most of Lloyd Webber's stuff. I imagine if Erik were a musical theatre person today he'd probably hate ALW and be a Sondheim snob.

I don't think Erik would like most songs by the Monkeys, especially "Wouldn't It Be Nice". I'm not sure why, but I think that one would especially annoy him.
I also don't think he'd like anything performed by singers like Celtic Woman, Hayley Westenra, Charlotte Church...those semi-classical sounding ones, or the ones who often get called opera singers but aren't really. I think he'd be annoyed that they weren't singing properly. (Keep in mind, that's what I think his opinion is, not necessarily mine.)
Have "Hollaback Girl" and "The Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani been mentioned yet? If not, I'm adding those now.
