Did anybody watch the Tony Awards on Sunday night? I loved them, even though I did get sick of Spring Awakening winning everything. I adored the A Chorus Line opening, and I have a new crush in Gavin Lee (Bert in Mary Poppins). Bernadette and Idina looked spectacular, I was happy that David Hyde-Pierce won...
So yeah, anybody else, or am I the biggest theatre geek here?

I watched them!! Oh goodness, I was so tired of Spring Awakening by the end of the night, too! I adore Gavin Lee and I was SO hoping that he'd win best actor in a musical, I think he deserves it! I loved Jersey Boys performance, cause I love John Lloyd Young so much!  I was so excited to see Christopher Plummer present an award! I love him too! |

Oh yes, I loved the Jersey Boys performance too! And I love that older stars like Christopher Plummer and Angela Lansbury are still out there performing/presenting and getting respected by the younger generations, they rock. And they both still look wonderful, don't they?  GAAAAAAAVIN &hearts &hearts &hearts I'm a little bit obsessed with him now, lol. |

Awwwww! Phantomgirl110, that's a great picture of Gavin! I would LOVE to get the chance to see him play Bert! Mary Poppins is one of my all tome favorite movie musicals! |

It seems more sensible to bump this topic than to make a new one for this year's awards...so, did anyone watch the 2008 Tonys? I did, I loved them!
