Which POTO cast is on tour for the 2008 season? They're coming to my town, but I can't find out who it is. My sister swears John Cudia is coming, but I don't want to get my hopes up, because she hasn't had any cited sources, just hope and instinct. If anyone knows who's on tour, I'd be very grateful if you could tell me.

The current tour cast, according to this article, is as follows: The Phantom - John Cudia Christine - Sara Jean Ford Raoul - Greg Mills Carlotta - Kim Stengel Andre - D.C. Anderson Firmin - Bruce Winant Madame Giry - Rebecca Judd Piangi - John Whitney Meg - Polly Baird Christine alt. - Sarah Lawrence However, someone on POL had this to say: "I was backstage last night with John Cudia, and he told me he is planning on leaving the Tour at the end of November to return home with his wife." If that's correct, I don't know who will be replacing him yet. I'll be sure to keep you updated when I hear anything. |

I had a squee-fest when I saw that John Cudia was on tour... but the November comment made my heart sink a little. John Cudia is my favorite phantom and I would LOVE to see him. I mean, any Phantom is good, but God... John Cudia would be amazing.
Edit: My phangirlism nearly gave my mother a heart attack just now. I think she thought I was dying. Or that tickets were on sale (which they won't be for another month or so...)

I saw John Cudia...but as Raoul, not the Phantom.

John Cudia was my first Raoul and probably one of my favorites! I've never seen him as the Phantom though. Kim Stengel as Carlotta is brilliant! She is my favorite performer in the role. Also, D.C. Anderson as Andre is fabulous!

I've heard a rumor that Jason Mills might be taking over the title role once Cudia leaves. It's still just a rumor at this point, so I'll keep you posted when I hear more.

That's what I heard on Youtube, but it's Youtube. Not the most credible of sources.
Secretly, I hope it isn't true. I personally would rather see John Cudia, but I can't afford to be picky... We actually have tickets now! It hit me yesterday. I was riding the bus and all of a sudden, I began to geek out. I was listening to MC's MotN and it hit me-- I'm seeing Phantom of the Opera live!!! It's the pinnicle moment of my existence, I swear!
