According to someone on PhansOnline, Howard will not be leaving in April as expected. I don't know how she got this information, since nothing's been officially announced yet, but I believe she has connections to Gary Mauer and Beth Southard, so she probably knows stuff we don't. Also, when Gary and Beth leave the tour next month, John Cudia (a former Broadway Raoul) will become the tour Phantom. Marie Danvers will remain the principal tour Christine, and Sarah Lawrence will be the new Christine alternate. Just thought I'd do my best to help everybody who cares stay informed. ^_^ |

Mme. Giry: Marilyn Caskey
Piangi: Roland Rusinek
Meg: Heather McFadden
*sigh* I was kinda hoping I'd get to see Gary or--in my wildest dreams--Brad, but it looks like I'll be seeing Howie, if I make it to NYC at all this summer. Ah well, I'm sure I'll find him wonderful...

@ Opera Angel: It's quite possible. I haven't heard anything else about how long he's expected to stay, now that we know he is.
@ littlediva: Looks that way. I've always thought he had more of a Phantom build, and I've heard he's great in the role.

I believe he understudied the role while he was playing Raoul on Broadway, yeah.

David Gaschen left Broadway awhile ago and was with the tour in Dallas and Kalamazoo, but I'm not sure if he still is. Stephen Tewksbury and Peter Lockyer, who used to be on tour, are now swings/ensemble on Broadway. Marie Danvers and Jim Weitzer just left the tour. No word yet on who will be permanent principal Christine on tour after Jennifer goes back to Broadway.
Rumors are that Howard may leave in September after his contract is up, and there's also a rumor/wishful thinking that Rebecca will too.

Thanks for posting that list! I already know of the recent changes in the cast but reading the changes again kind of refreshes my mind a bit, especially since there has been some confusion on the touring cast.
*just hopes that Rebecca won’t get tossed to the touring cast when angelic Jennifer leaves it*
