From me? Most definitely. If that wasn't directed at me, forgive my momentarily inflammed ego.

And as most of the people on this board know, for me to say that I like something than it MUST be good.

Thanks, everyone, for your lovely compliments. I know of a few other authors that do Leroux!Erik/Meg stories. If you'd like, I can post their work as well.

Newbie but still I'll put my two cents.
Well quite personally the idea of Erik/Meg is more appealing to me in the ALW musical and the 2004 movie for these reasons:
1. In the musicals/movie the end was left obviously quite open to the idea that something might happen there between Erik and Meg, she has his mask after all so a lot of things can happen if he cames to reclaim it.
2. The age gap between them wouldn't be that distourbing as with the idea of the Leroux Phantom, even if in the book Meg is a bit older than Christine the age difference between her and the Phantom will be too much for me to be comfortable with the idea.
3. In the movie/musicals well Erik is alive, in the books, though I can't be sure in the Susan Kay novel since I read it a long time ago, he dies and well he doesn't revives to be with our ballet rat and the age gap is still there in both books >>
4. This might a superficial one, an as much as I love the Leroux book, I can only picture their looks, therefor the paring, with the look of Gerard's Phantom and Jennifer's Meg >>...though I don't mind the Leroux!Erik

Welcome to the board, isolde[/i]! Sorry this welcome is coming so late, I haven't been a very attentive mod here lately. But I'm thrilled to come back to a new member, especially one so willing to jump right into the discussion!

Okay. I am a huge fan of this one writer on FF.Net, dark-hearted rse, and her newest phic ("Rain") is the awesomest EM, Leroux-based phic I've read in a long time. They're hard to come by, so here's the link.

Ooh, that's a great one, thanks for posting the link! I hadn't heard of that author before, either...once I get to updating the fiction section of the site, I'll have to contact them to see if maybe I can link to some of their work.
