Janet sounds sweet but I agree with the weak..at least in the movie you could hear the harmony

Though the thing is that even though I have 4 different cast recording of POTO, only two feature her singing "Angel of Music", the rest do not feature her at all or just feature her scream in Act I or the one in Act II, so I haven't really listened to so many Megs... Jennifer and Janet have been the only ones that I've listened to singing a full-legnth song.

That is sad Meg is so neglected in the play I liked the extra scene with jennifer in there since she doesnt' do much in teh movie except dance and scream and say "He's here"

Sadly, I've only seen one version of POTO, and that's the movie, so I guess it's just Jen for me, lol

Well, finally I was able to search the internet for clips, photos, MP3s, and articles on Megs (used the Little Meg site as well for info.) and was able to make a list of my favorite Megs now... I'm so happy to have found out that there are so many singers with such beautiful voices playing Meg (since as I have said, only two of the cast recording CDs that I have feature her). Anyway, the list of my favorite Megs: Kara Klein Kate Wray Sharon Millerchip Jennifer Gould Gina Paris Janet Devenish By the way, I'm able to translate the page on Gina Paris to English, but on the info. page it does not say where to send it, and also I found this page on the Mexican version of Phantom in which Gina is shown on an image (the Mascarade one), and on a flash video.

Ooh, you can translate it? Thanks! If you could email the translation to me at phantomgirl110@yahoo.com or just post it here, I'd be very grateful. (I didn't even think to put my email address on that page, thanks for mentioning that too.) That video is so cool! I can't believe I've never seen that before. Thank you so much for posting it! And the best part is: it lets me download it, so I can make screencaps! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Oh, I forgot: I was browsing the other day on the official site for the German production of phantom and I found this page one the current German Meg (Annabel Knight), I searched on the info. section of the Little Meg site for her but she did not appear so I thought the link might be helpful, it's in German though, (but you can try this page, which translates articles and other text, and then perhaps run a Spell Check on the article to perfect any translation errors). Again, glad I could help.

Got to give Heidi Ann O-brien a honerable mention! She's currently playing Meg in the London production. She gives Meg such zest with a feisty and playful character. Unfortunately she leaves in October, it just wont be the same without her

Current Meg i've only seen on stage is Heather McFadden on Broadway..I like her although I haven't seen enough stage productions to make a comparison

Bumping this topic, because I have a new official favorite Meg: Jessi Ehrlich. I've seen her in the role on the US tour five times now, and she's basically perfect. Her acting and dancing are wonderful, and I was amazed by how strong her singing voice is every time I saw her. She actually held her own during "Prima Donna" and the rehearsal of Don Juan Triumphant! I usually can't hear Meg there.
I also absolutely love Joelle Gates. I only got to see her once, but she was fantastic. She was also amazingly, ridiculously, outrageously nice to me at the stage door. She and I also totally exchanged phone numbers, but that's not actually as exciting as it sounds, lol.

I still love Jessi, but Brianne Kelly Morgan is truly the best Meg I've ever seen. I was excited to finally see her, but I had no idea how absolutely terrific she'd be. Her singing and dancing are fabulous, but it's really her acting that steals the show. She's always doing something! You can seriously just watch her in any scene and be totally entertained (in a good way). She reacts realistically to everything.
