I suddenly feel the urge to re-write a song from Les Mis to be our theme song...

I WILL finish reviewing PoM...once I find the courage to open that piece of crap again.
That should probably be within the next, oh say...10 years?

I'd prefer to see the book six feet under...maybe I should read Leroux a third time just to know how good writing a Phantom novel can be

I went to the library and picked up the awful book. I'll try to have something up later.
I know PG110 is anxious to hear about the adventures of Pierre and Joe. Wow, that would make a funny cartoon actually.

Wait... is this a joke?
PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A JOKE!
A drunkard Raoul!? A freak-show running Erik who has an automaton of Christine for a lover!? Christine not knowing the father of her child!? Meg has dropped of the face of the Earth except when it's convenient for her to play a Sue!friend
AHHHH! It's like a terribly written FANFIC!
Oh, wait. It *is* based on a terribly written fanfic!
SOMEONE STOP THIS! PLEASE! (weeps) It tears apart everything that was beautiful about the original! How could Christine not know the father of her child? Erik never... that was the point! All he ever got was a kiss! A simple kiss, what so many take for granted, was everything to him!
And Raoul was the sweetest, most charming, brave, and loving childhood sweetheart of Christine. Why would he suddenly become a drunkard and squander away their fortune!? What next, does he beat Christine too? RAOUL ISN'T THE BAD GUY! Erik is the bad guy, while he is aso the victim. The duality is exactly what makes him INTERESTING!
All in favor of occupying England until Webber gives us the rights, say I!

Because you are the only with courage enough to say I've read the entire book and if you never set eyes on it..consider yourself blessed!

Resist the urge to check it out Opera Angel! It's worse than I make it seem. He's sooo non-descriptive. It's like a phanphic written by a 13 year old.

The urge is as strong as my urge to step directly into the path of a truck. That totally made me LOL. I actually do want to read this book, for the lulz. I just don't want to pay for it.

I died of laughter when I read that. I'm pretty sure the only thing I laughed at was the Pierre and Joe part. Then I got upset because I realized Forsyth was completely serious... I think I've cried a few times though. You guys are the only ones who understand. My sorta-girlfriend hates when I complain about it, she tells me this POTO addiction is unhealthy. I think it's perfectly fine. But she uses the argument that I've worn my white mask to Stop & Shop....on more than one occassion. At least she agrees that a sequel is stupid...

Even the most die hard C/E phans should agree with us... I'm not against a C/E pairing if you can make it believable ,but totally destroying the other characters just to get them together makes me sick...
