If we haven't scared you away from here by being so rude originally, it'd be awesome if you could give us a heads-up here when it's published! I'll be watching for it too, just in case.
I haven't yet been able to buy the book, hopefully I'll get a chance to soon. Unfortunately I got quite a few books for my birthday this year, so when I'm finally able to get Phoenix it's going to be like fifth in line. Maybe I'll let it cut ahead, haha.

phantomgirl110,
You can't keep me away! I'd be happy to announce the next publication here! Here and anywhere else I can think of to get the word out to as many readers as possible. ;D
I don't have a publicist, so whatever marketing that gets done is via sites like this one. I hope word of mouth will helps spread the news, too.
With summer coming up, one can't have too many books to read! But seriously, I'm pleased to know that you intend to order my book at some point in the near future. I have about a dozen or more books and cds in my "cart" at Amazon that have been languishing for over a month or so. There's always something new that strikes my interest.
Cheers, Sadie

Yay, I'm glad you're gonna stick around! I'll be happy to announce the next book's release on the main site too, assuming I ever get the sucker back up-to-date. (I swear I actually am working on it...honest.) Actually, would it be alright with you if I create a page on the site dedicated just to your books? It's so exciting to have a book that features Meg in an important role!

It's nice to see such a small character be so popular, and even have books on her, that's something really cool.

Phantomgirl110,
I imagine that if you created a page on the site for my books, it would be good advertising for me! So sounds like a good idea to me.

Free publicity is ALWAYS good! ;D If you had some wallpapers made, Erik/Meg Pheonix of the Opera and all that, banners, icons, ect, that would probably help, cross-post them at poto icon sites and all that. Just a suggestion.

Little Meg Guest,
That's a good suggestion. I'm not sure I know how to do it. I don't have an account at photobucket or anything. I imagine I need that?
I just found out how to link my profile at myspace to the Amazon site for my novel. It only took me 6 weeks and the help of a savvy myspace friend!

Yeah, you'd need either Photobucket (which is a snap to use) or imageshack, but with photobucket, you can store the images for as long as you want. Free accounts have A LOT of space on them too.

Little Giry,
Do you have a link to photobucket or if I do a google I should find it? Then I set up a free account. From there if I go to some sites I can link the photos to the site?

Here's Photobucket: photobucket.com/It's really easy to set up an account, and once you have one you just upload pictures from your computer and the site provides you with three codes: one for posting images on message boards, one for posting on websites (like MySpace, for example), and one that's just a direct link to the image itself. The site also has some useful little tutorials (like this one, which gives you more in-depth information on the different types of links it provides you with) that can help you out. ^_^

Phantomgirl110 and Little Giry, Thanks for the links and ideas. I have an account. Now I have to figure out how to create wallpaper and so on... Glad summer's coming up. I'm busy working on prepping the second novel over the next few weeks. Sadie

I greatly enjoyed the little preview, and plan to check out the book very soon. I always enjoy finding new tales featuring Erik and the others, especially then they take interesting directions such as this one.
I am curious, by the way, if you've ever read the short story "His Fathers Eyes" by Jean-Marc Lofficier and Randy Lofficier. It is within a 2004 English adaptation, by the Lofficiers, and was published by Black Coat Press. It is a rather interesting story that suggests that Erik's mother was raped by another famous character, who also dealt with pain and sorrow not only because of his face, but because his own father, his maker, rejected him. It's a very interesting read, and I am curious to know whether or not you've read it, and if so, what your take on it is.

Destler, No I haven't read it. It sounds intriguing. I don't know how I feel about the twist. I'd have to read the story. Funny, I use an epigraph from the source of the father's story (I'm sure I can guess the reference) for my second novel. I think the issue of alienation the novel presents can be applied to any tragic figure, but especially one who feels that he has been shaped or misshaped by his creator. In the first novel I'm very concerned with individual psychology. One of my readers who has read all of my Phantom manuscripts has pointed out that my second novel is very concerned with the idea of the "father." So I'm interested in the reference. Chelsea, I'm working on final revisions now of the second and beginning to get rather excited myself. However the publication process does take several months (2-3). Unfortunately that puts the publication out to late July or early August at best. I was hoping to get it out earlier. By the way, the second novel is going to be more mature in its content, and this might be a problem for some readers. I can explain why this seemed appropriate at another time. Because of the issues that come up, that of adult sexuality does play a role in the "journey" of the character. Sadie
